And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
