and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
