Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They slept very little during the night 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
