Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
