The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
