He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 olives, dates, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 fruits, and grass. 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
