The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
