Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 [Hallowed be] He who has created seven heavens in full harmony with one another: no fault will thou see in the creation of the Most Gracious. And turn thy vision [upon it] once more: canst thou see any flaw? 3 Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 As if about to explode with rage; whenever a group is thrown into it, the guardians of hell will ask them, “Did not a Herald of Warning come to you?” 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 And whether you speak softly or proclaim it aloud; He indeed knows what lies within the hearts! 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
