Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
