The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
