Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
