The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
