The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur'an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills - the Lord of the Creation. 29
