The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
