Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
