Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 #NAME? 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
