Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily, [in the life to come] the tree of deadly fruit 43 Will be the food of the sinners, 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 like boiling water. 46 "Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said), 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 This is that concerning which you were doubting.' 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 In it they will ask for all kinds of fruit, with safety. 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 a bounty from thy Lord; that is the mighty triumph. 57 And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
