And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 Hinderer of good, trespasser, doubter 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
