And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
