Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 they shall burn in a Scorching Fire; 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In a high Garden 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
