Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
