We sent Noah to his people. He told them, "Worship God for He is your only Lord. I am afraid of the punishment that you might suffer on the great Day (of Judgment)". 59 But the assembly of his nation said: 'We can see that you are in clear error.' 60 He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I convey unto you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel unto you, and know from Allah that which ye know not. 62 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 63 But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. 64
