The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
