When the Messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 And bring thee the Truth, and lo! we are truth-tellers. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 [Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the prudent ones. 75 And surely it is on a road that still abides. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
