۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 His is whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and obedience to Him inevitably pervades the whole universe. Will you, then, hold in awe any other than Allah? 52 And whatever blessings you have, are all from Allah – then whenever misfortune reaches you, towards Him only do you seek refuge. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 that they may show ingratitude for what We gave them. So, take your pleasure, you shall soon know. 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have given them unto what they know not. By Allah! but ye will indeed be asked concerning (all) that ye used to invent. 56 They assign daughters to Allah - glory be to Him - whereas they assign to themselves what they truly desire! 57 and when any of them is given the good tidings of a girl, his face is darkened and he chokes inwardly, 58 Hiding from the people because of the evil of the tidings; “Will he keep her with disgrace, or bury her beneath the earth?”; pay heed! Very evil is the judgement they impose! 59 The attribute of evil applies to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while to God applies the highest attribute, for He is Mighty, the Wise. 60
