And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
