Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
