T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
