Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This Book has beyond all doubt been revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Do they say that he, (Muhammad), has invented it? No, it is the truth from your Lord so that you will warn the people who have not received a warning before you. Perhaps they will seek guidance. 3 It is God who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, in six spans, then assumed all authority. You have no protector other than Him, nor any intercessor. Will you not be warned even then? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 then He fashioned his progeny of an extraction of mean water, 8 Then made him proper and blew into him a spirit from Him, and bestowed ears and eyes and hearts to you; very little thanks do you offer! 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ Say thou: the angel of death who is set over you shall cause you to die, thereafter unto your Lord ye shall be returned. 11
