Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 can lure away from God any 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are the rangers, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
