The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
