Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
