Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
