(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 Make my task easy 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
