It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give! 78 And He it is Who spread you on the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 On the contrary, they said the same as what the former people used to say. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,- who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know." 88 [And] they will reply: "[All this power belongs] to God." Say: 'How, then, can you be so deluded?" 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The All Knowing, of every hidden and the visible – so Supremacy is to Him over their ascribing of partners (to Him). 92
