We sent Noah to his people and he lived with them for nine hundred and fifty years, then the flood engulfed them for their injustice. 14 but We saved him, together with all who were in the ark, which We then set up as a symbol [of Our grace] for all people [to remember]. 15 We sent Abraham and he said to his people: “Serve Allah and fear Him. This is better for you if you only knew. 16 You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back. 17 But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 18 Have they not seen how God begins the creation and then turns it back? This is not difficult at all for God. 19 Say: "Travel on the earth and see how He originated creation. Then (you will know) how God will raise the last raising (of the dead). Surely God has power over everything, 20 He chastises whom He will and forgives whom He will. To Him all of you will be sent back. 21 Escape Him you cannot either in the earth or in the sky; and you have no friend or helper apart from God. 22
