The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
