Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
