The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
