This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
