And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
