The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Then We drowned the rest afterwards 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
