And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error. 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
