The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
