The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
