Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 is food for the sinner. 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 Surely this is what you disputed about. 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 They will be offered all kinds of fruits, in peace and security. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59
