T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
