The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 So they have indeed rejected (the truth), therefore the news of that which they mock shall soon come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 9
