Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
