The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 About what they used to do. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
